Conversations with Annalisa Barbieri
My series of podcasts, Conversations with Annalisa Barbieri, launched on 20th May 2021 and is now on Series 12 with over a million listens.
The idea for these came about quite a few years ago; every time I got off the phone to my experts, be it for my advice column in The Guardian or a feature I was writing, I’d be all excited about everything I’d learnt. But then, so much of what I’d learnt had to go on the metaphorical cutting room floor.
These podcasts were a way to be able to bring more – I think – fascinating information to readers and listeners.
The conversations are specially recorded for the podcasts. We don’t discuss people’s problems, but subjects that interest me and I hope will interest you.
Do please subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. I’m really proud and pleased that some of them are used in places like hospices and therapy rooms. The podcasts are self funded so you can support them by: listening to them when they go on general release and sharing them; leaving a review that’s hopefully positive and if you’d like to listen to them ad-free and have early access you can become a paid subscriber via Substack.
Subjects coming up in Series 12 are: Dissociation, Why The Arts are Good for Us and Loneliness, they’ll go on general release in Spring of 2026 but what’s available so far of Series 12 is already on my Substack page for paying subscribers.
All the others are available wherever you get your podcast, but here’s a link to the iTunes store.
